Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa’s Third Annual Oktoberfest!

If you like your Oktober with a side of flavor, fun and all things German, dig out your lederhosen and head to Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa’s Third Annual Oktoberfest Celebration on Saturday, October 8th. Or if you want to enjoy your fest with a side of waves, wear your bathing suit and let your fest float at the resort’s five acre water park. With a menu of German specialties and an array of brews, served with a side of water fun, the resort is rolling out the “Wilkommen” mat to welcome those who know that the arrival of fall means more than just pumpkin spice.

The resort’s Third Annual Oktoberfest Celebration with more flavor, fun and oompas than you can polka to will be held in Henry’s Hollow on the resort’s grounds and will feature live music from Rennie Guenther and the Happy Travelers, a family show band that plays traditional German, Czech and Polish music. With oompahs, polkas and waltzes, yodeling and country music giving the afternoon the perfect vibe for Oktoberfest fun.

The event will include a terrific selection of German brews and Texas craft beers, including both Ranger Creek’s and Karbach’s Oktoberfest beers. There’s nothing like a fantastic German feast to accompany your beer and Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa’s delicious food stations definitely fill the bill. Featuring both “Heißes Essen” and “Kaltes Essen”—that’s hot and cold food for those who love German but don’t speak it—including fresh Pretzel Rolls and Pumpernickle Loaf; Warm Pretzels with St. Arnold Porter Beer Cheese; Leberkase with mustard demiglaze; Shiner Bock Glazed Weisswurst and Bratwurst; House-fried Pork Schnitzel with lemon wedges and lingonberry jam; Marble Potato Salad with Apple Mustard Dressing; Braised Red Cabbage with caraway seed and honey; and Brown Butter Sage Spatzle. The “cold” food stations will feature German Mixed Garden Greens with blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes, croutons and honey-roasted beets with white wine dill dressing; local Jerky and Charcuterie; assorted House-made Mustards; Bacon and Chive Potato Salad; and Hill Country Sauerkraut. For a sweet ending, Berliners and German Chocolate Cake, as well as other German goodies, will be featured.

Tickets are $26 for adults, $10 for children ages 6-12 and free for five and under. Parking and access to the resort’s five acres of water fun are included.
