The spirit of the Wild West lives on through the historic and eclectic Buckhorn Saloon. Having evolved past the days of bartering antlers for drinks, the saloon, built in 1881, is now home to a collection of more than 4,000 horns as well as wildlife exhibits, a wax museum, a shooting gallery and an arcade. This San Antonio attraction also boasts its own Curio Store, dubbed the "World's Oddest Store."
Explore the newly remodeled animal halls and prepare yourself for an immersive Texas Experience. Practice your sharp shooting skills in our Toepperwein Shooting Gallery and explore hundreds of rare and unique animal species from around the world.
Next stop, The Texas Ranger Museum which houses hundreds of Texas Ranger artifacts including revolvers, automatic handguns, sawed off shotguns, badges, photographs and much more. Notable Texas Rangers exhibited in the collection include Ray Martinez, Joaquin Jackson, John B. Armstrong and Frank Hamer. Step back in time in “Rangertown” which looks like San Antonio in the late 1800s.
Located just two blocks from The Alamo and one block from the Riverwalk—The Buckhorn Saloon & Museum and The Texas Ranger Museum are proud to welcome a new generation of visitors!
