About Kenna Danielle
Born and raised in the eclectic city of Conroe, Texas, Kenna Danielle is poised and ready to make her mark on the country music scene. Her sound fuses blues, soul, and down-home country, creating a delivery that is uniquely her own. Kenna Danielle wows crowds with sultry vocals and musical genius on both the guitar and harmonica. The singer-songwriter’s insightful storytelling is showcased in songs like Outrun the Rain and Between the Bottle and the Bible.
Taking notes from music greats like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams Jr. and Miranda Lambert, Kenna Danielle is etching out her place among the renowned. But long before setting her sights on stardom, Kenna recalls her fascination with a hidden treasure discovered in her family home. There were three family guitars housed in a hall closet, collecting dust; one belonged to her great-grandfather. On the rare occasion when her father would pull them out and play, Kenna found herself completely enraptured by the beautiful sound the instruments produced. These rare instances of her father’s guitar playing whet the appetite of the budding musician.
By age 11, Kenna Danielle had learned to play the guitar. This milestone was surpassed the following year when 12-year-old Kenna wrote her first song. She had discovered her life’s purpose on the strings of a guitar and in the pages of her notebook. The rest—as they say—is history.
Today, Kenna Danielle is living in Levelland, TX and gigging almost every weekend. She has had the honor of gracing several festival stages, playing alongside fellow Texas musicians like Bri Bagwell, Mike Ryan, Josh Ward, Phil Hamilton, Thom Shepherd, Jason Allen and Aaron Einhouse. Kenna has also performed live on Houston’s own, Pat and Rosie's Night Sounds Radio Show KPFT 90.1 FM, College Station’s KEOS 89.1 FM, and Lubbock’s Red Dirt Rebel 105.3 FM.
Kenna Danielle’s debut album, Good Reputation, is a ten-track LP, produced by Stormy Cooper and Lyndon Hughes, and features 9 original songs. Good Reputation is available on any online outlet including Spotify, iTunes, and Pandora. Kenna’s new EP, Like a Tumbleweed, which features 5 original songs, was released on August 11, 2017 on all online outlets. Her debut single "A Cross" off of her new EP was released to radio in August 2017 and currently sits at #48 on the Texas Regional Radio Report chart and #36 on CD TRACtion chart and is still climbing! 2017 has proved to be a successful year for the songwriter as she pitched her song "Playin' With Lightning" to Jerrett Zoch and the OSR Band who made it their own, titled it "Sippin' On Shine," and released it to radio in August 2017. "Sippin' On Shine" reached #2 on the Texas charts, which makes it Kenna Danielle's first top 10 song in Texas as a songwriter. Kenna has also advanced to the finals in various notable songwriting competitions including Lubbock's Blue Light Live Songwriting Competition and College Station's ChiliFest Battle of the Bands, which requires original music.
When she’s not performing or recording, Kenna Danielle remains true to her country girl nature. She lives for the outdoors and deer hunting. Her downtime is also spent maintaining quality relationships with her friends and family. Kenna Danielle’s natural music ability, teachable versatility and fierce determination to succeed give her staying power. She has found a “passion that pays”, and it’s proving to do just that.
