7 Seconds is one of the most popular hardcore punk bands from Reno, Nevada of all time. The unique formation of the band was founded by two sets of different brothers. Kevin Seconds, Steve Youth and the Marvelli brothers formed the group in 1980. They are regarded as one of the most influential punks bands from the United States.

7 Seconds has released fifteen full-length albums, six extended players and appeared on thirteen compilation albums since 1982. The band is credited as innovating the hardcore movement. Furthermore, 7 Seconds was the first band in punk history to refer to their music as hardcore. Essentially, this new style of punk and metal created a massive tide in the music industry. In other words, 7 Seconds started to influence hundreds of new hardcore bands each year. In this light, 7 Seconds are treated as the godfathers of modern hardcore music. In addition, the band has performed at countless metal music festivals throughout the entire world. Their music is now available on iTunes.
