Hailing from the UK, this one time Morrissey opener Rockin’ Lloyd Tripp began his musical career playing with London’s hip rockabilly favorites the Megatons (‘81-‘84) which featured Boz Boorer of the Polecats. Then with Garage/Psychobilly legends The Vibes (‘83-‘86) one of John Peels/BBC all time greatest discoveries. Lloyd filled in on bass with The Stingrays (’84-’85) during which time he also played with the Blubbery Hellbellies (’83-’85) which was named by friend and Pouges frontman Shane MacGowan.
Performing as Rockin’ Lloyd Tripp since his arrival in the US in ’86. With his musical career spanning nearly 3 decades, 4 CD’s later Lloyd is now calling Austin, TX home.
