Rosedale

About Rosedale

Growing up in Brampton, Ontario has its ups and downs, like any city in the GTA. Six foot nine frontman, Mike Liorti, could explain all of that in a nutshell using only one word; ROSEDALE. Named after downtown Brampton's Rosedale Ave, Mike and his friends invested many walks (over many different shoe sizes) on this mysteriously vintage street that links directly from the train tracks to the local music store; Long & McQuade Musical Instruments. Yes, ROSEDALE were those kids who had nothing better to do than to try out all the amazing gear of their dreams for hours and write tunes that sound not far off of bands like Taking Back Sunday, The Starting Line, and Blink 182. While this seemed like a phase that would pass to most, for Mike, it was actually what created a positive foundation of musicianship and a whole new world of entrepreneurial business skills… not to mention his intricate set up and eye popping light show.
Over time this dream of making music for a living escalated to a surprising degree of reality; independent tours with American acts, North American Tours following the Vans Warped Tour, a music video with Bent Penny Records, interviews and blogs on muchmusic.com, some spins on XM and MTV2, and sponsorships from ONE Global Protection, Kodak, Audix Microphones, Boomphones, and Travis Barker's Famous Stars & Straps.

These are just a few minor accomplishments in comparison to what is to come from this driven, self-established artist. With Mike's ambitious North American summer tour, his debut session vocals in Disney's Radio Rebel, and the launch of his professional recording studio; there's no telling where ROSEDALE will be by the end of 2012.
