Buddy Brown

Singer-Songwriter Buddy Brown grew in Mississippi and was practically singing Randy Travis songs an hour after he was born! A true outdoorsman, Buddy gets most of his inspiration from being in the woods and folklore that his heros have passed down. "Music is about the only thing keeping me from living 100 miles from the nearest town in an old cabin wearing a pair of overalls and totin' a shotgun" Buddy says.

Buddy has spent half of his life in Mississippi and half in Florida. In 2009, Buddy starting working social media playing his songs for YouTube and Facebook audiences. He has amassed over 200,000 followers on Facebook. The presentation is simple. A truck with a dropped tailgate and his guitar - no special effects. His EP "Keepin it Country", a 5 song EP, debuted at #12 on iTunes - Country. "That is rare territory for an Independent artist" says producer Dave Bechtel who has produced 5 projects with Buddy since 2011. Buddy started receiving bookings all over the U.S including NASCAR at Talladega Superspeedway, landing a front page article in the Clarion Ledger which is the largest newspaper in Mississippi, and was soonafter featured in USA Today with a long article including a video of Buddy's song, "Take You Huntin."

“I absolutely love talking to fans, talking with them about their lives and living along side of them" Buddy says. It's been one of the most rewarding things of my life." It's also the reason for Buddy's social media on Facebook exploding. When you receive thousands of comments a week and you do your best to answer them, it pays off. Those people become the core of the music and the people I write songs about. The songs get better because I'm immersed in their mindset and because I live it.

On April 21, Buddy released his 5th EP called Hometown Anthems. "This project is my favorite to record" Buddy says. "It has all the elements of small town mindsets and stories that get told and exagerated more and more as time goes on until they just become laughable - then, no one even knows what the real story is anymore because we favor the entertaining version the most. That's what this EP is about and my fans have embraced it like crazy since it's release.

In May 2015, Buddy signed with Aaron Tannenbaum of CAA Nashville - someone he is very excited about working with. "Consistant touring has been the missing piece for me the last few years" Buddy says, "now we can put the whole puzzle together." Buddy's schedule will start picking up quite a bit for the rest of 2015 playing in new cities all around the US and taking his music to a larger audience.
