San Antonio Bars and Clubs - Billiard Bars
|
|
It’s always good to have a distraction when drinking, and few are more fun than shooting some pool. Most of San Antonio’s bars manage to squeeze pool tables in somewhere. They might not be the most level or pretty to look at, but they get the job done. Bananas Billiard Bar & Grill has nice tables and features 9-ball tournaments during the week and weekends. Billiards makes a great excuse to chat with new people without the awkwardness of "Why are you talking to me?" moments. If it’s in the game, anything goes. Plus, with a little lubrication, a nice set of balls and maybe even a friendly wager, the night will get off to a great start. San Antonio is an awesome place to go out, have a few cold ones and shoot some pool with old friends or new acquaintances.
Banana's Billiard Bar & Grill
2003 San Pedro Ave., San Antonio, Texas; Tel. 210.226.2627
There's no monkey stuff about Banana's Billiard Bar and Grill. On the corner a few blocks from San Antonio College, the pool hall has several pool tables that have Wednesday and Saturday night 9-ball tournaments. Four coin-operated tables provide plenty of opportunities to get a game in at Banana's Billiard Bar & Grill and, believe it or not, ladies always play free at this San Antonio college hotspot. If a few games work up an appetite, Banana's luckily has a grill to serve up American fare including an excellent burger. Banana's, burgers, beer and billiards may seem like an unlikely combination, but they actually go better—along with a healthy dose of San Antonio hospitality—at this local bar and pool hall.
