San Antonio Amusement Parks - Theme Parks


San Antonio is home to some of the most exciting and unique attractions in Texas. The historic River Walk winds almost three miles through the heart of San Antonio. One of San Antonio’s, and the United States’, most photographed attractions is The Alamo, and should not be missed by anyone visiting the city. The museum tells the story for The Alamo’s fall and displays interesting historical artifacts. For more history, La Villita (the Little Village) in the heart of San Antonio has been restored to look as it did when the Spanish built it in the 1700s. Of course, San Antonio has much more to offer than historical sites. Outside San Antonio sits the Schlitterbahn Waterpark, rated as the country’s best water park by the Travel Channel. Sea World San Antonio is loved by marine fans and offers shows, rides and a vast animal park. San Antonio’s mix of historical landmarks and exciting attractions makes it a great destination for travelers of all ages.

San Antonio Zoo

The San Antonio Zoo is home to more than 3,800 animals representing 750 species. Here are a few of the Zoo’s current exhibits: African Plains, Kronkosky’s Tiny Tot Nature Spot, Butterflies! Caterpillar Flight School, Lory Landing, Gibbon Forest Attwater’s Prairie Chicken, Richard Friedrich Aquarium, Reptile House, Hixon Bird House, Rift Valley, Cranes of the World. The San Antonio Zoo is open 365 days a year.

Sea World San Antonio

Sea World San Antonio is actually four parks in one on 250 acres: a show park, a rides and slides park, a water park and an amazing animals park. Located at the intersection of Ellison Drive and Westover Hills Boulevard, off State Highway 151 between Loop 410 and Loop 1604, 16 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio. Several directional signs are visible from Hwy 151.

Splashtown San Antonio

Splashtown has 20 landscaped acres of cool, clean water excitement just three minutes North of downtown San Antonio on IH-35 at the Splashtown exit. Wonder World Park

Wonder World Park is actually a Texas Historical Site. The unique attractions here are educational as well as entertaining and for the whole family. Enjoy guided tours through the nation's only earthquake-formed cave. Exit by elevator and catch a breathtaking view of the fault line's drop-off point from atop the Tejas Observation Tower. Have fun in the crazy Anti-Gravity House and take a train ride through the waterfalls of Mystery Mountain to meet and feed the animals in the largest petting park in Texas.
